3D Sculpture Using Repousee on Copper

Hellow!

Today we will discuss on a process used in metallurgy. In symmetrical sculptures we can use the technique of repousee in which 2 symmetrical & mirror parts of the object are made by repousee  & solder together forming a 3D Sculpture..  to demonstrate this we will make a bird. 1 st we must heat copper till it becomes red hot.
let it cool then we will draw the drawing on Copper surface.,  then start tracing the drawing on metal by hammering line tool on the drawn the lines. Then fix that article upside down in the pitch by melting pitch.  Hammer the bird body from Back side using suitable tools until expected bulging is achieved.
Remove article from the pitch & again fix now from front side & add details on it. Cut out the shapes from sheet & solder togather.  Legs can be made separately by copper wire.

The overall process is shown in pictures.
